We’re continuing our innovative research partnership with the William & Mary Law Center's renowned Center for Legal and Court Technology (CLCT). This Thursday, January 22nd, we're demonstrating our A.I. self-service kiosk technology during a CLCT webinar, showcasing how academic-industry collaboration drives innovation in

access to justice.

A Research Partnership in Action

Since deploying our first academic kiosk at William & Mary Law Center in late 2025, our teams have been working together to advance understanding of how users interact with A.I. self-service technology in legal environments. The kiosk serves dual purposes: providing practical wayfinding and information services while generating valuable research data that informs deployments nationwide.

The installation features interactive campus mapping, comprehensive FAQs about the Law Center, and multilingual support in

English and Spanish through an A.I.-powered avatar that creates an approachable, intuitive experience.

"Our ongoing partnership with William & Mary represents more than just a single deployment—it's a collaborative research effort that helps us understand what makes these solutions most effective for diverse users," said Paul McManus, CEO of Advanced Robot Solutions. "The insights we're gaining directly improve how we serve courts and communities nationwide."

From Research to Real-World Impact

This academic research partnership complements our operational deployments across more than a dozen states:

  • El Paso County, Texas, serves English and Spanish-speaking citizens, county staff, tourists, and military families at Fort Bliss through a ten-kiosk ecosystem.

  • Kansas City, Missouri, offers agent-guided form filing for complex legal documents.

  • Lansing, Michigan, provides advanced wayfinding to help visitors navigate the complex courthouse.

  • Stanislaus County, California, streamlines payment processing integrated with existing court systems.

Measurable Benefits

Whether deployed in academic settings or active courthouses, these solutions deliver value across the board:

For Court Staff: Freedom from repetitive administrative tasks allows teams to focus on complex legal matters. Reduced interruptions enable clerks to provide more thorough assistance for complicated cases.

For Citizens: 24/7 access to court services reduces time away from work and family. Self-paced, private interactions eliminate the pressure of long lines and make court interactions less intimidating.

For Administrators: Improved service delivery metrics, reduced staffing costs, and higher citizen satisfaction scores demonstrate clear Return on Investment (ROI).

Preparing Tomorrow's Legal Professionals

Law students at William & Mary experience firsthand how A.I. self-service technology breaks down barriers to information and services. This hands-on exposure prepares future attorneys, judges, and court administrators to advocate for and implement technology-driven access to justice solutions in their own careers.
