The Ohio Attorney General’s Office just opened applications for the 2026 Ohio Court Technology Grant!

This funding opportunity gives courts and clerks of the court of common pleas the ability to invest in new or upgraded technology systems, helping modernize operations, improve public access, and meet state compliance requirements. Applications are open now through April 19, 2026, with projects beginning as early as June 1.

Why This Grant Matters

Courts across Ohio are facing increasing pressure to serve more users, manage growing caseloads, and meet evolving technology mandates. This grant is specifically designed to support projects that:

  • Improve efficiency and case processing

  • Expand public access to court services

  • Support compliance with e-filing, online dockets, and reporting requirements

  • Modernize outdated systems and workflows

Eligible projects include e-filing implementations, CMS upgrades, and technology that enhances how courts interact with the public.

What Makes a Strong Application?

The most competitive applications clearly show impact. Courts should focus on how their project will:

  • Improve the citizen experience

  • Reduce staff workload and administrative burden

  • Address a clear operational challenge

  • Deliver measurable improvements in service and efficiency

Projects that directly improve access, especially for self-represented litigants, stand out.
